Before you do anything... Call us for complete instructions. The Midwest Computer Forensic Lab recommends shippingаthe entire computer with the drives intact. This will allow for the examiner to check system dates and times. If your case is only dependant on the data contained on a hard drive, you can remove the hard drive and ship it to us. Do NOT ship anything to the Lab without contacting us in advance and obtaining a tracking number. This number will need to be placed on the shipping box. Computer hard drives are static sensitive and need to be shipped in an anti-static bag and completely sealed. After placing in the bag, wrap at least 1 inch of bubble wrap or foam around it. Ship in sturdy cardboard box and don't allow the hard drive to bounce around in the box. ** DO NOT USE PACKING PEANUTS OR ANY STYROFORM PACKING MATERIAL THAT CAN CREATE STATIC ELECTRICITY
